In order to perfect the academic quality and to provide a platform for efficient communication and academic discussions, we, the SCIEMUN proudly declare that we will be hosting the MUN conference here at SCIE, the SCIEMUN & IMUNC 2014 Regional Conference (Southern China), on February 21st-23rd 2014, jointly with IMUN.
SCIEMUN was established in 2006. Based on the objective of cultivating global view and building up the social awareness of students, we have been trying to bring about the most authentic MUN meetings to southern China during the past 7 years. Since the establishment of SCIEMUN, we have held interscholastic and interprovincial meetings in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, which have received widespread appraise. This year we will be cooperating with IMUN again, dedicating our efforts to presenting a splendid conference even better than before for all delegates.
IMUN, founded in 2008，is a non-profit organization operated independently by students. During the past six years, it has held six annual national conferences and six regional conferences. Well known for its innovative Crisis-Floating Division, it possesses a Law Division consisting of a professional jurist team at the same time, as well as a Conventional Committee Division for innovation. Upholding the belief “Better than Best” and the aim of “help the delegates be the best of themselves”, IMUN has offered MUN academy of high quality to over 2000 amateurs.
SCIEMUN and IMUN jointly held conferences in the 2012 and 2013, both of which have gained favorable receptions. This year, the two parties will pursue further cooperation on academic issues by launching the Model Legislative Council of Hong Kong and the Rio+20 in collaboration. Also, as the first visit of IMUN’s Law Division to Southern China, the Model International Court of Justice (ICJ) will be involved in under the guidance of professional directors from CUPL, ECUPL and Law School of Shandong University. We, the SCIEMUN, together with IMUN will dedicate our best effort under the same objectives of bringing you the best joint conference.
